October 7, 2018: Vyasa Puja Offering to Vaisesika Prabhu

Indradyumna Swami’s offering to his beloved godbrother on his birthday:

My dear godbrother: Vaisesika prabhu!

Please accept my most humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

I am watching your Vyasa Puja online while driving to a program in Baltimore. How much I would love to be there with you, your disciples, friends and well-wishers today. You are surely worthy of all the eloquent words being spoken at this occasion in honor of the amazing service you are rendering to our spiritual master, Srila Prabhupada and his movement.

Personally I feel you are the one specifically empowered to carry on his most cherished desire that his books to be distributed far and wide all over this planet. And because you have done it extensively, written about it in a most perfect way and are inspiring so many devotees to follow in your footsteps, you are most certainly receiving the full blessings of Srila Prabhupada and our entire disciplic succession.

This is evident whenever you deliver your eloquent, scholarly and sweet sloka-laden classes. You can’t imagine how many devotees listen to your lectures around the world … myself included.

I am very honored that you consider me a friend. Friendship is a most cherished thing in Krsna Consciousness. It allows godbrothers and godsisters to work together to offer the most substantial results to our spiritual preceptors. And the spirit of camaraderie that develops is very deep. The depth of such loving relations allow us to share intimate realizations that come from our preaching efforts — realizations that only those who serve the mission of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu have access to.

I so much enjoy your ongoing and perpetual explanations and vision of Sri Krsna Samkirtan. They are a great source of inspiration for me in my own attempts to spread the glories of the holy names!

So many people count on you. So many people are inspired by you. And without knowing it, so many conditioned souls are dependent on you for receiving the initial spark of Krsna consciousness.

May the good Lord always watch over and protect you and those who are serving under your most expert guidance! I pray that our paths will continue to cross for many years to come.

I want to conclude by offering my most humble obeisances to all those present today at your Vyasa Puja ceremony. They are most blessed to be your servants and order carriers! I take the dust of their feet upon my head.

I also offer special respects to your good wife Nirakula mataji; ISV’s gurupatni!

October 8, 2018: Winding Down

This will be the last photo album of Indradyumna Swami’s great adventure performing here in the USA over the last two months. Everyone in the team worked so hard day and night to share Krsna consciousness with the people of this country. In this album you’ll see their short visit to Gita Nagari and a program they held at a nearby university. Ananta Vrindavan is working on the final video.

October 10, 2018: Life of Sacrifice and Purpose

Recently online Indradyumna Swami Maharaja read some harsh and undue criticism of several of his godbrothers who have dedicated their lives to preaching Krishna consciousness around the world. Knowing them and the sacrifices they have endured through the years made the condemnation most painful to read for Maharaja. Then he came across the words of Theodore Roosevelt, an American statesman and writer in the early 20th century and his heart was somewhat pacified:

“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”

October 15, 2018: Going Home To Sri Vrindavan Dhama

Tomorrow, after a year of intense preaching, Indradyumna Swami Maharaja is going home to Sri Vrindavan dhama. It is only by the mercy of Srila Prabhupada and the saints that Maharaja feels that he can return. Maharaja often remember the words of Srinivas Acarya as he departed Vrindavan for preaching. As soon as he left, he was hankering to return.

“Shall I, a worthless person ever again see the deities of Govinda, Gopinath, Madan Mohan, Radha Vinode, Radha Mohan and Radha Damodar? Will prabhu Sri Gopal Bhatta ever bring me back to Vrindavan or give me the opportunity to serve his lotus feet again? Shall Lokanath Goswami, the incarnation of kindness, bestow his grace upon me again? Catching hold of the hair of this sinner, will the gracious Bhugarbha Goswami ever bring me back again? Will Raghunath Das Goswami, the embodiment of kindness, ever again fulfill my desires? Srila Jiva Goswami is the light of the poor and the unfortunate people. Will I ever see his feet again? O associates of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, will you ever again bring such an unfortunate soul as me to Vrindavan and allow me to enjoy your company”

October 17, 2018: Back Home 

Today Indradyumna Swami Maharaja arrived back in Vrindavan after 8 long months away. Maharaja immediately went to Srila Prabhupada’s samadhi and gave him a first-hand report of his preaching throughout the year in Australia, Russia, Poland and most recently the USA. After taking darshan of Radhe Syama, Indradyumna Swami and a small group of devotees went to the Radha Raman Temple in downtown Vrindavan. Maharaja was asked to lead kirtan for the Lord there! Finally the group went to to the nearby samadhi of Srila Gopal Bhatta Goswami where Maharaja met his old friend, Jnana-Syama das babjaji, the caretaker of that most sacred place. Many thanks to Ananta Vrindavan dasa for so nicely capturing in photos the first day back home. Jaya Srila Prabhupada!
