Our first stop on this year’s Russian tour is Ekaterinburg, a city with a population of 2 million people. Devotees have come from other cities as well – some from as far as Kazakhstan a two-day train ride away. Everyone is eager for kirtan, Krsna katha and prasadam. We hope not to disappoint them!
Dear disciples: please visit www.narottam.com for the latest lecture from Russia entitled: “The Caterpiller”.
The city of Sochi is situated in southern Russia. With it’s beaches, as well as nearby snow capped mountains, it serves as a resort for the wealthy people of the country. ISKCON has had a successful temple there for a number of years. We spent 3 happy days with the devotees relishing the spring weather and the chanting of Lord Krsna’s holy names.
Dear disciples: a new lecture given recently on our Russian tour is available now on www.narottam.com. It is entitled: “Auspicious Prayers” and was given on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya.

We always look forward to our visits to Moscow, the capital of Russia. It was the place where our beloved spiritual master, Srila Prabhupada, planted the seed of Krsna consciousness in June 1971. Since that historic visit, Krsna consciousness has continued to expand in leaps and bounds. These photos stand as a testament to that. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
Dear Disciples: a new lecture, “Lets Go Home” is posted now on www.narottam.com.
Dear citizens of the world: All of you who are interested in taking proper care of Lord Krishna’s cows, here is a most worthy project to contribute to!http://ww.krks.name/krks-cowcare.pdf
St. Petersburg was the last stop on our Russian tour before moving on to Ukraine. No doubt, St. Petersburg is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. And the local devotees are an integral part of that beauty. We enjoyed 5 days of chanting, dancing and feasting in their association. Myself, Badahari Dās and Chaturatma Dās all lectured on Srimad Bhagavatam to attentive audiences. We look forward to returning!
Dear disciples: “The Best Association” a new class – is available on www.narottam.com.
Our last stop in Russia was in St. Petersburg, the cultural capitol of the country. Spring had come to Russia, making a beautiful backdrop for the numerous programs we held in several halls in the city. Our visit was a wonderful conclusion to our two-week journey through the country. It also marked my 30th year anniversary of preaching in Russia. I am grateful to the government for granting me a visa each and every year through 3 decades.
Dnipro is one of the main cities in Ukraine. We arrived just in time for the local temple’s celebration of Nrsimha Caturdasi and next day’s Ratha Yatra. A thousand devotees attended both programs. The city seemed alive with Krsna consciousness. There are over 10,000 devotees in Ukraine. A most perfect place for spreading Krsna consciousness.
The 8th annual Sadhu Sanga Retreat in Boon, North Carolina is up and running. We held the first session on Friday night, even as 2,400 registered devotees were arriving. By the end of the evening the kirtan hall was packed. Devotees stayed until 11 p.m. as BB Govinda Maharaja led a most amazing kirtan. Just a precursor for what’s ahead!
